What you need to know about the upcoming Highway 1 paving from Kentville to Wolfville

Potholes are a major problem along Highway 1, with many of the worst located from Greenwich to Kentville, but these will soon be overhauled during a paving project set for this summer.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal is advising motorists and residents that paving along Highway 1 between Kentville and Wolfville will take place at night beginning May 28.

KENTVILLE, NS - Motorists are being advised that paving along Highway 1 between Kentville and Wolfville will soon begin.

As part of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal’s weekly traffic advisories issued on May 25, it states that Highway 1 from the Kentville town line to the Wolfville town line will be reduced to one lane at night for paving.

It is anticipated that work will take place between the hours of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Monday, May 28, until Friday, July 20. Area residents are also being advised that there may be an increased level of noise during the overnight construction hours.
