Elizabeth Anne McBride McBride, Elizabeth Anne - At age 77 of Windsor, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2018 at the Hants Community Hospital in Windsor, NS. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, adopted parents Walter and Mary (Dever) Joyce. Anne grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick and was educated in local schools, St. Peters Girls school and St. Vincent High School and graduated from Mount Carmel Business school in 1958. Anne was employed by Commercial Union Insurance Company where she met her future husband James McBride and married in 1963. They were married for 47 years. Anne's proudest moments were the birth of her children Rosemary, Wendy, Kelly and Patrick. She is predeceased by her husband James McBride and her adopted parents Walter and Mary Joyce and her adopted siblings James Joyce and Karen Joyce. Survived by her three daughters Rosemary, Wendy and Kelly (Marc Lavoie partner) McBride of Windsor, Nova Scotia and one son Patrick (Heidi) McBride and grandson Ronan McBride of Hantsport, Nova Scotia. Her biological siblings Joseph Terrence McCarthy (Margaret) Calgary, George McCarthy (Myrna) Edmonton and Nora Criss Port Coquitlam, B.C. and sister inlaw Mrs. Theresa Gallant and brother inlaw Bruce Holder of Saint John, New Brunswick; two nieces Karen Gallant and Paula Holder Saint John, New Brunswick and one nephew James Holder of Saint John, New Brunswick and many other nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Couban and Dr. Padmos and Amber Phillips and the Hants Community Hospital Palliative care and Ambulatory Care. Family flowers only by request under the direction of J.A. Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, no visitation, Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 9, 1:30pm at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Father Patrick Cosgrove will be officiating.
