Linda Mcdowell — Kentville

Linda Diann McDowell - 63, of Kentville, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at home. Born in Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Ruby (Webber) McDowell. Linda had previously worked for the Kentville Advertiser. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially holidays, and watching her nieces and nephew growing up. Linda loved animals and baking. She is survived by an aunt, Shirley Acker, Kentville; a niece, Monica (Steven) Butler, Kentville; two great nieces, Mikaylah Zwicker and Lily Butler, at home; a great nephew, Noah Butler, at home; several cousins. She will also be missed by her sidekick dog, Doozy. She was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Zwicker. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Scott Prime officiated. A private family burial took place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Kentville. A reception followed at the home of Monica Butler, 18 Prince Street, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A. or the charity of your choice.
