Comedian Lorne Elliott will perform in Wolfville Aug. 25. - Submitted

The absolutely original comedian Lorne Elliott will bring his unique brand of humour to Wolfville on Aug. 25.

A storyteller, musician and playwright, Elliott is touring his one-man concert show The Collected Mistakes.

His performance, in aid of the Wolfville Historical Society’s Randall House Museum,

will take place at the Al Whittle Theatre at

8 p.m.

Elliott began performing in 1974 as a folk musician, simultaneously developing his fiction, songs, monologues and one-liners.

He has made regular appearances at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival since it started in 1986; each time, his segments were selected for TV specials, thanks to their universal quality. In Canada and the U.S. he has appeared on numerous talk shows and Variety shows.

His plays have been performed in Quebec, Ontario and Prince Edward Island. Madly Off In All Directions, his weekly CBC Radio comedy series started airing in 1996 and continued for 11 seasons.
