In partnership with the Acadia women’s volleyball program, Axe Volleyball is a high-performance program centered on excellence and offering training opportunities for players with elite aspirations.
The organization will focus on whole athlete development, including position-specific technical training, tactical training, strength and conditioning, nutrition for performance and mental skills training.
The program will be divided into two sections – 18U Learning to Compete, open to athletes born in 1995 and 1996, and 16U Learning to Train, open to athletes born in 1997 and 1998.
Axewomen volleyball head coach Michelle Wood will serve as Mentor Coach, with Acadia Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Elliott Richardson as Strength and Conditioning Coach and Nutrition Specialist.
Tryouts for the program are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Acadia Athletic Complex, and Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 6-8 p.m. at a location to be determined.
