They were hoping to pick up where they left off in a pair of games September 23 and their home opener September 24.

The Eastern Shore Thunder defeated the River Rats 3 – 1 on Sept. 23 after the Rats staked themselves to a 1-0 lead after twenty minutes on a goal by sharp shooter Logan Cleveland but it was all the scoring they could do.

They held the Thunder scoreless in the third period as well, but the home team managed three goals in the middle period, including two on the power-play and one with 41 seconds to go in the second.

The River Rats defeated the East Hants Ryson Construction Penguins 7 – 2 during their home opener on Sept. 24.
