“We need to improve and it’s just that simple,” said Mosher in a brief phone interview July 13.
Mosher was speaking with Kings County News in the midst of a particularly rough week for the Wildcats.
“We’ve been beaten up this week,” he said, citing 8-1 and 11-1 losses to Sydney and a close 6-4 battle against the Truro Bearcats as examples.
“We’ve got four games in of our six games this week and we’re running out of steam, and we’re getting pounded. It hasn’t been much fun, but we are attempting to persevere.”
Mosher said inclement weather led to several cancellations in the Wildcats’ schedule, and the ‘Cats ended up with a “grueling week” as a result.
After 13 games this season, the Wildcats were fourth in the five-team Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League standings with three wins and ten losses.
Mosher intends to continually work on
“It has been a difficult season for a number of reasons and, clearly, we’re not as good as most of our competition, but we are battling and just refuse to believe that. We keep forging on and hope for better days ahead.”
