BERWICK, NS – Both Central Kings and Northeast Kings picked up points Nov. 18 when the two rivals met for the first time this season.

The game ended locked in a 1-1 tie.

Central Kings got on the board first with a goal five minutes into the first period from Anna Henneberg, assisted by Jill Daniels and Myah Nickerson.

CK would hang onto the lead for most of the game, but NKEC goaltender Brianna Kaizer withstood the pressure as NKEC was outshot.

Riley Abbott tied things up for NKEC with a goal late in the third and the Titans managed to hang on for the remainder of the period under intense pressure from CK.

This was the second game of the weekend for NKEC; the team faced off at home against the Park View Lady Panthers, who defeated NKEC 7-2 Nov. 17.

NKEC is next in action Nov. 24, when they will travel to the Credit Union Centre in Kingston to play the West Kings Wolverines at 6 p.m., then hit the road for the Middleton Arena Nov. 25 for a 6 p.m. Match-up against the Middleton Monarchs.

Central Kings will hit the ice again Nov. 25, when they travel to Yarmouth for a game against the Vikings at 7 p.m.
