The game was originally scheduled to be played March 7 in Kingston, as part of the D-2 boys' regional champonship tournament, but the championship game had to be postponed due to a medical emergency involving one of the teams.
The game will be played as a charity event, with the gate proceeds split between the two teams. Horton will be supporting the Wolfville & Area Food Bank, while NKEC will be supporting the Open Arms mission.
Both the Griffins and Titans have already qualified for the D-2 boys’ provincials scheduled for the first weekend in April in Amherst.
The result of the March 22 regional final will determine the tournament seedings for the two teams, with the winner of the game receiving a higher seeding.
