Meanwhile, in his rookie season last year with the Vikings, the forward notched 18 goals and 58 points in 40 games. The Armada drafted him in round two, No. 24, at the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft.

In other trade news, the Screaming Eagles sent defenceman Alexis Sansfaçon to the Armada in a separate deal, Friday. In return for the 18-year-old, Cape Breton received a third-round draft pick at the 2020 QMJHL Entry Draft.

In 35 games with the Screaming Eagles this season, Sansfaçon had six assists with a minus-11 rating.
