Valley Wild hosting Bantam AA provincials

BERWICK - The Valley Wild will be vying for the Bantam AA female hockey provincial title on home ice.

Five teams are slated to face off at the Kings Mutual Century Centre in Berwick March 23-25: Valley Wild, Metro East Inferno, Metro West Force Blue, Metro West Force White and Fundy Highland Subway Selects.

“AA is the highest division for Bantam female hockey in Nova Scotia and this tournament will showcase the best female players from across the province,” a recent Valley Wild media release reads.

“Female hockey is a point of pride in Canada and the female game is an exciting one to watch.”

Admission is $20 for a weekend pass, or $15 per day. There will be a hospitality suite, 50/50 contest, chuck-a-puck contest and skills competition.

The schedule includes 11 games, with the championship match penciled in for March 25 at 11 a.m.
