CANNING – It is sure to be an arresting game as Northeast Kings Education Centre’s Titans hockey team dukes it out against police on the ice.

The high school hockey team will face off against Kings District RCMP officers in a fundraising initiative for the school’s Safe Grad event later this academic year.

The game will happen Dec. 14 at the Canning Glooscap Arena, with the puck dropping at 8 p.m. Admission is by free will offering, and tickets for 50/50 and other prize draws are available for purchase.

Safe Grad is an annual prom season event that offers a supervised and safe opportunity for graduating students to celebrate finishing high school and starting that next chapter of their lives post-secondary school.

This year’s fundraiser is one of many  hockey games Kings District RCMP has played against a high school team in support of and to help fundraise for the event.

Kings RCMP is encouraging the public “to come out to Canning and enjoy an evening of hockey and fun while supporting the Northeast Kings Education Center graduation class of 2019.”
