The Ha!ifax Comedy Fest celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2020, with one of its best lineups yet for the April 22-25 event.
The Kids in the Hall's Kevin McDonald, standup and comic actor Jon Dore and This Hour Has 22 Minutes cast members Cathy Jones, Mark Critch and Trent McClellan are featured on a varied bill that so far features 28 funny people at 20 events in Halifax, Dartmouth and Bedford.
East Coast comics Nikki Payne, Megan McDowell and Travis Lindsay are also on the bill, along with gifted Canadian comic and mimic Gavin Grawford, Vancouver-based Yumi Nagashima, Yugoslavia-raised Toronto comic Ana-Marija Stojic and favourites from CBC Radio's The Debators, Myles Anderson and Graham Chittenden.
Events range from the all-star gala shows at Casino Nova Scotia and the Spatz Theatre to the United Colours of Comedy at Pier 21 and LGBTQLMFAO at the Last Laugh Comedy Club in the Atlantica Hotel. Other venues range from the Halifax Central Library to Good Robot, New Scotland Brewing Co., Monte's Showbar, Brewster's, the Lower Deck, the Seahorse Tavern and the Marquee Ballroom.
