BRIDGETOWN, N.S. — Students are safe, but Annapolis District RCMP are on the scene at Bridgetown Regional Community School after a perceived threat was made.
RCMP Const. Cheryl Ponee is on scene and said more than 14 cell phone calls were made to 911 from a cell phone at the school. She said one of those calls mentioned a gun.
Kristen Loyst, communications officer for the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education confirmed that all students are safe and secured within the building.
Const. Ponee said at 12:45 p.m. the lockdown is now over but the investigation continues.
Loyst said she will have more information to share with parents and the public when it becomes available.
