The blaze broke out in 25-by-40, two-level work shed containing tools and lumber.

Waterville and District Fire Department spokesperson Kevin Ernest said the attached home was spared but suffered some smoke and water damage.

“The crews were able to save the house from a lot of damage,” he said.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire, he added.

“They were able to knock it down fairly quickly.”

Departments from Berwick, Kentville, Aylesford, Kingston and New Minas assisted, with the response efforts wrapping up around 9:30 p.m.

The cause is undetermined, Ernest said.
