GREENWOOD, N.S. — Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that claimed the life of a 43-year-old Greenwood man.
RCMP say the man’s motorcycle came in contact with a pickup truck along Highway 201 in Greenwood at 1:45 p.m. July 31. He died at the scene.
“Following the collision, the truck crossed the road, and struck a nearby home,” reads an RCMP statement issued the following day.
The truck driver suffered injuries that, RCMP say, are not believed to be life threatening. A passenger travelling in the truck was not injured.
A section of Highway 201 was closed until about midnight, while RCMP collision analysts studied the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are with the family of the victim at this difficult time,” an RCMP media release reads.
