KENTVILLE, N.S. — The RCMP have made an arrest in connection with a fire that took place at an apartment building on Exhibition Street in Kentville.
Around 7 p.m. on July 9, members of the Kings District RCMP were called to the scene of a fire at a multi-unit home that was deemed suspicious. No one was harmed in the fire, and only one unit was damaged by fire, while the other units in the building sustained smoke and water damage.
Police shut down the road to assist firefighters, and a witness at the scene gave information to police that led to the arrest of a 16-year-old female youth from Kings County. The youth was brought to the Kings District RCMP station and later released.
Police are working with the Office of the Fire Marshal in an investigation of what went on at the property.
