BERWICK, N.S. — Police say “racist graffiti” found on the road near a Maple Avenue home is under investigation as a possible hate crime.
Kingston RCMP visited the scene July 3 at 11 a.m.
“The RCMP went to the home and found that a word that is offensive was painted on the road,” an RCMP media release circulated July 4 reads.
“This was done in the overnight hours between 9 p.m. on July 2 and 11 a.m. (July 3).
Police spoke with neighbours to gather information, but the search for clues continues. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asking to reach out to Kingston RCMP by phoning 902-765-3317.
