KENTVILLE, N.S. — Kings District RCMP are still searching for a 66-year-old woman reported missing earlier this month.

Janet Bandurak was last spotted leaving a residence on Exhibition Street in Kentville Sept. 8.

“She has not been seen since, and police and her family are concerned for her well-being,” reads a media release distributed by Kings District RCMP Sept. 19.

Bandurak stands a four-feet, 11-inches tall. She has short, white hair.

“It is believed that she was wearing a blue jacket with grey pants the time she was last seen. The truck she was believed to have been driving on Sept. 8 was located on Hwy 221 near Woodville,” the RCMP statement reads.

“It is believed that someone driving a red minivan may have interacted with Bandurak. If you are the person who was in the minivan, please contact New Minas RCMP as we believe you may have information that would be useful to the investigation.”

Several organizations have assisted with the ongoing search, including Ground Search and Rescue units, a helicopter and RCMP police dog teams.

The investigation launched by Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section is ongoing.

“Members of the public who live in the area are asked to check any buildings on their property for any evidence or information,” police say.

RCMP are asking people with information about Bandurak’s whereabouts to contact New Minas RCMP at 902-679-5555 or 1-800-803-RCMP (7267). Anonymous tips can be submitted through Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers - 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.
