String of break-ins in New Minas prompts RCMP request for public assistance

NEW MINAS, N.S. – The RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a string of break-ins and break-in attempts at several New Minas businesses.

An RCMP release states two break-in attempts were made on Jan. 15 at Grecco Pizza and First Choice Haircutters, followed by two more on Feb. 6 at The Swimwear Hut and the Annapolis Animal Hospital.

All of these businesses are located on Commercial Street in New Minas within the village’s business district.

Kings District RCMP is currently investigating this string of incidents and is asking anyone with information to contact them at 902-679-5555, or to submit an anonymous tip toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
