NORTH KENTVILLE, N.S. – Two people are facing drug-related charges after a police investigation allegedly found drugs at a North Kentville home.

An RCMP release says a police search conducted Jan. 3 at a home on Rosedale Avenue resulted in police seizing “cocaine, mushrooms, Ecstasy, and cash.”

The search was conducted by the Kings County Street Crime Enforcement Unit, which includes members from Kings District RCMP and the Kentville Police Service.

Jonathan Burtt, 35, and Alicia Margaret Deveau, 28, of North Kentville, were arrested at the scene and held in custody overnight.

Both appeared in Windsor Provincial Court Jan. 4 to face charges for drug trafficking and possession.

Burtt remains in custody, and Deveau has been released with conditions. Both are scheduled to appear in court again Jan. 7.

The investigation remains ongoing.
