KENTVILLE - There’s a new residential development in the works across from the Visitor Information Centre.

The ongoing construction work at 150 Park Street is associated with a build led by the Kentville-based Medical Associates Ltd. The company is co-owned by Craig Gerrard, and his two sisters.

Medical Associates Ltd. has hired Matthew Holleman of Holleman’s Heritage Woodworking for the construction job slated for completion in June 2018, Gerrard said.

The final product will include four two-bedroom apartments, and one three-bedroom apartment.

“[The] apartments are approximately 1,800 square feet, including garage,” said Gerrard, noting that his family has owned this property since the late 1980s.

Gerrard, who also serves on Kentville’s town council, said the project is providing work for the construction company, sub contractors and his own landscaping and snow removal crews.

“We are very excited about it,” he said.
