One of the most admired men in the world is coming to Halifax this fall.

Former U.S. president Barack Obama will speak on leadership, hope, and civic engagement at the Scotiabank Centre on Nov. 13. 

The talk marks the 70th anniversary of the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council.

Bowl tickets to the event go on sale on June 29, with details to be announced in the days ahead.

The news conference announcing the event is being carried on Facebook via livestream.
