KENTVILLE, N.S. — With the sun shining brightly, the streets of downtown Kentville were lined with spectators for the annual Children’s Parade, an Apple Blossom Festival favourite.
Held on June 1, the colourful parade featured several floats and many children dressed in costumes, portraying various characters. There was a wide range of organizations represented, including several dance troops, daycare centres and Girl Guides to name a few.
Many children carried posters featuring images of past Apple Blossom Festivals, keeping with this year’s theme: “Once A Blossom, Always A Blossom.”
Anyone age 18 or under can participate in the Children’s Parade.
