SYDNEY, N.S. — Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police didn’t have to go far to come across an accident on Friday.

At about 12:30 p.m., a police vehicle stopped at the intersection of Argyle and George streets in Sydney and was rear-ended by another car. According to a police spokesperson, there were no injuries. There was no damage to the police vehicle but front-end damage to the car.

The driver of the car was issued a summary offence ticket for following too closely to another vehicle.
