ROCKLAND, N.S. — Kings District RCMP is asking for the public's assistance to discover who stole a safe from a home on Prospect Rd. in Rockland,  near Berwick.

Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on June 11, someone entered the residence and took the safe, which is about the size of a mini-fridge, and is cream in colour. It contained coins and bills dating from the 1800’s to present day, as well an antique pocket watch and personal documents. The safe was found near Aylesford Road, by a local resident, on June 13 but most of the contents were missing.

Anyone who has information regarding this incident is asked to contact Kings District RCMP by calling 902-765-3317. To remain anonymous call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
