Alfred Johnstone — Middleton

Alfred Ernest Johnstone - 95, formerly of Lakeville, Kings County and Tibbett’s Home for Special Care, Wilmot, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Greene) Johnstone. While a resident of Tibbett’s Home for Special Care, he enjoyed playing music. He is survived by a daughter, Grace “Marie” (Vernon) Mills, Lakeville; three grandchildren, Haley (Dale) Bezanson, Canaan; Jay Mills, Port Williams; Sam (Janice) Mills, Lakeville; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion (Cashin) Johnstone; a grandson, Ronald “Ronnie” Mills; several brothers and sisters. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Father Keith Billard officiating. Burial took place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. No flowers, by request. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to express their thanks to Tibbett’s Home for Special Care for the care provided to Alfred.
