SCHOFIELD, Gerald Wayne “Gerry” ~ Age 63, of South Greenwood, Kings Co., passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, November 4, 2018, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late George A. and Mary J. (Moody) Schofield. Gerry had worked at Thompson’s Transfer and later employed as a Sales Representative with Parts for Trucks. He was a member of Aylesford Baptist Church and a veteran member of the Aylesford & District Volunteer Fire Department with 26 years of service. Gerry loved family time spent camping at Keji and at Morden by the shore. Surviving are his wife of 34 years the former Annette M. Weagle; children, Timothy (Jen) Schofield and Anthony (Vanessa) Schofield, both of Ottawa, Ont.; Katelyn (Sean) Nicks, Edmonton, Alta.; Derek Schofield, Dempsey Corner; grandchildren, Lydia, Lucas, Owen, Keira and Mia; sister, Cristal (Doug Burgess) Schofield, Little Harbour; brothers, Joe (Sharon) Schofield, Parksville, B.C.; Jim (Jan) Schofield, Nictaux; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Gary Schofield. Visitation was held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. Memorial service took place at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 8, in Aylesford Baptist Church, 2543 Hwy No. 1, Aylesford. Pastor D. Patrick Gilbert officiated, assisted by Rev. Clyde Lowe and a reception followed. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Lodge that Gives or to Aylesford Baptist Church.
