Glenn Cochrane — Windsor

Cochrane, Glenn R. “Porky”, age 59 of Sweets Corner, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2019, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on July 11, 1959, in Windsor, he was the son of the late Reginald and Beth (Davis) Cochrane of Sweets Corner. Porky worked as sales representative for over 25 years with Quinn Flooring, Windsor, where he made a great many friends. He loved playing washers in the summertime and bowled for many years in the Thursday night leagues during the winter months. Glenn leaves behind his companion, Cathy Ross; his children, Melinda Cochrane; Matt Cochrane (Cathy McGinnis) and Cathy’s children, Heather and Hollie; sister, Heather Cochrane; brother, Steven Cochrane; uncle, Michael Davis (Debbie); aunt, Judy Maxwell (Grant); as well as many cousins. Besides his parents, Beth and Reg Cochrane; Glenn was predeceased by an infant granddaughter, Emma Catherine. Sincere thank you to the staff at the Hants Community Hospital, most especially to the Palliative Care Unit who were immediately and always there the last few days and also to Amber Phillips for all her kindness and care. Loved by many, liked by all, Glenn devoted his time to family, his work (which he was great at) simply having fun and enjoying life. There are far too many laughs to remember at once, but few to be forgotten. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
