Hulda Davidson — Kentville

Hulda Winnifred Davidson – 87, of Gaspereau, Kings County, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Karl and Elsie (Duncanson) Coldwell. A people person, Hulda was well known in the community of Gaspereau. She was a lifelong member of the Gaspereau Baptist Church, where she was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary, the Women’s Missionary Society, taught Sunday school, was a choir member and served on various committees. Hulda loved her family, community and church. She also enjoyed spending time at their cottage and loved to cook. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lorne; two sons, Shawn (Laura) and Darren (Nadine), both of Gaspereau; a sister, Marina Coldwell, Cambridge, ON; six grandchildren, Ben and Matt Davidson, Chad Davidson, Nadia (Keigan) Levy, Kyla and Curtis Davidson; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son; a sister, June Gibbs; two brothers, Gerald Coldwell and Paul Coldwell. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the Gaspereau Baptist Church, Reverend Gary Manthorne and Reverend Mark Shaw officiating. A private family burial took place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. A reception followed in the Gaspereau Community Hall. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Gaspereau Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
