Church, Karen Joan, 55, of Lower Vaughans, Hants County, passed away on February, 11, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Born on July 17, 1963 in Ontario. She was a daughter of the late Earl and Kathleen (Meisner) Flynn. Karen worked at the Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Karen was an amazing mother who loved her family and spending time with them, especially with her grandchildren, Toby and Hazel who were her world. Karen also loved gardening and baking. Surviving are her loving husband of forty years, Stephen; children, Troy (Kayla) Church, Wile Settlement; Blair,( Makayla Carter), Lower Vaughans; Emily Church (Thomas Peach), Lower Vaughans; Tara Jerome, Saskatchewan; grandchildren, Toby and Hazel; sisters, Kathryn (Laurie) Swinamer, Alberta; Krista Morse (Randell Crossley), Falmouth; brother, Gordie Flynn (Lacey Swinamer), Ellershouse; several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. A celebration of life service was held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
