Roscoe Albert 'Ross' Cook

COOK, Roscoe Albert 'Ross' Falmouth/Port Williams Roscoe Albert “Ross” Cook, age 82, of Falmouth, formerly of Port Williams, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. He struggled from complication of diabetes over the last few years. Born in Wolfville, he was the youngest son of the late Scott and Flossie Cook of Orchard Avenue, Wolfville. Ross served in the Canadian Armed Forces and was a mentor for Army Cadets at Aldershot. He worked for the Kentville and New Minas Water Commission until retirement. He created our home and horse ranch with his own hands at 496 Church Street where he lived for over 50 years. He married Christina Blanche Woodworth in 1959. He is survived by the five boys they raised together, Jack, Steve, Don, James, William; recently he took great pride in grandchildren; his siblings, Vincent, Betty, Buck, Nina, Walter, Marjorie, and Marguerite have gone on before. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019 in the St. John’s Anglican Church, Port Williams, Reverend Maya Bevan officiating. Burial took place in the St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Church Street, Port Williams. A reception was held at the Windsor Elms Village (174 Falmouth Dyke Road, Falmouth) following the burial. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
