Dear Editor,
On June 5, 2019, the three of us were involved in a rollover accident on highway
210 (Burin Peninsula).
We came from Ontario to see the beautiful vistas, icebergs, puffins and moose.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to experience them but we did get to experience the kindness and generosity of the people in the Clarenville area.
Thank you to the many people who stopped to assist shortly after the accident occurred.
One of these people was Rose Ellen Sullivan who provided support both at the scene and later.
RCMP Constable Rodney Ricketts provided comfort at the scene as well as assistance at the hospital. To all of the police officers, paramedics, firefighters on the scene, thank you.
We appreciated the professional efforts of the doctors and nurses at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville.
Thank you to the Spurrell family for their friendship during this difficult time.
For providing a home away from home, we thank the staff at the Clarenville Inn.
