KDCL asking Kentville for cash

Kentville Development Corporation Limited (KDCL) will be asking the town for cash.

At a public meeting Jan. 29, president Bill Denyar said the group, which came out of dormancy last year, will be ask Kentville for $20,000 to cover start-up costs.

KDCL will also ask town to levy an area rate of 3.1 cents per $100 of assessed value on all taxable property in the town, a press release from Denyar said.

The proposal has yet to come before town council.
