Members of the Kentville and District Kinsmen Club had a busy day Jan. 5, as they collected about 400 Christmas trees from area residents as a fundraiser for the club. For a free-will donation, Kinsmen volunteers will pick up your tree and dispose of it for you. Past-president Michael Webster, left, vice-president Duane Gould, service and welfare chairman Lloyd LeBlanc, president Wayne MacEachern and Bingo chairman Keith Royale were among the club members volunteering to run trees through a chipper at the D & M Service Centre in North Kentville that afternoon. The Kentville Kinsmen have been organizing the annual fundraiser for about 15 years and hope to collect more trees next January. - Kirk Starratt
