It’s been quite a winter so far – lots of snow, rain, wind and extra heating costs. Sorry for bringing this all up, it will change as spring nears.

The road between Berwick and Waterville via Maple Street needs badly to be resurfaced, paved. Like lots of roads, there are potholes. Here on Maple Street, there has been damage to cars from some of these deep holes in the road.

This road has lots of traffic exiting from 101 at Exit 15 eastbound to stops at Waterville, Cambridge and Coldbrook, Michelin, the rehab and other points.

There is a house on Park Street that is no more; it has been demolished and hauled away. The Salsmans, Travis’ and others have lived there through the years. It had to come down as it was unfit to live in. As a youngster, to the best of my memory, a man by the name of Walker lived there.

The 50th wedding anniversary for our neighbour is fast approaching. Donald and Marilyn Helpard will reach this milestone on March 15. A celebration will be held at the Michelin Sports and Social Centre on that date, 3-6 p.m. Best wishes only.

Lawrence Doherty, formerly of Waterville, has passed away. His good sense of humour will surely be missed. We offer our condolences to Dwight, Chad and families.
