Berwick town council , Kentville

Berwick is joining the ranks of other Valley towns that have taken a pro-active stand in their efforts to curb speeding.

At their Dec. 11 meeting, members of Berwick town council approved an expenditure of up to $4,000 for an LED speed indicator sign, similar to those installed in Kentville and Middleton.

The town plans to purchase one sign that can be moved from point to point as needed. It will have the ability to collect data in order to identify areas where speeding is common, and provide traffic counts that can be used to assess the need for future traffic controls.
