Wolfville has decided to meet twice monthly at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, beginning Jan. 8.

Previously council met on Mondays. A committee of council session took place during the afternoon, but motions were never passed.

Coun. Hugh Simpson noted  the 6:30 p.m. start time could be inconvenient for those who work office hours.

Council has also approved the establishment of a new audit committee consisting of the mayor, two councillors and two community members. A new town and gown committee will merge the activities of the Neighbourhood Opportunities for Wolfville Working Group with the Mayor’s Advisory Group on Community Living Issues.
