Kings District RCMP arrested one man Feb. 12 on New Minas’ Commercial Street outside of Evangeline Middle School.
After receiving reports of someone walking with a long gun in the area in the middle of the afternoon, police investigated, Const. Blair MacMurtery said.
“The investigation revealed that the male was carrying a pellet gun to his friend's place,” MacMurtery added. He said two males were stopped by police initially, but only one was arrested.
Buses were delayed for a few minutes, he confirmed.
There will be no charges related to the incident.
