Acadia curlers compete at Atlantics

Five members of the Acadia Curling Club competed in the Atlantic University Curling  Championship at CFB Halifax the weekend of Jan. 12.

The women’s team – including skip Micayla Dorey, mate Olivia Dennis, second Sarah Brine, lead Haylee Nauss and fifth Lindsay Doucet – had a 2-2 record at the competition.

Acadia beat St. F.X. and UPEI, before losing to Saint Mary’s and UPEI. 

UPEI and SMU advanced to the CIS national championships.

Acadia’s men’s team will compete at the end of the month in Halifax for a repeat chance at a national berth.
