Updated: Kentville Police still investigating disturbance that sent one person to hospital

An early morning police call is still under investigation, Insp. Ken Reade says.

Kentville Police did make an arrest after a male victim with a head injury was taken to hospital early Aug. 27 from the sidewalk along Chester Avenue.

Reade said charges had not been laid in the case as of 3 p.m. The age and gender of the person or persons arrested was not released.

Blood spatters on the sidewalk and yellow caution tape greeted commuters on Chester Avenue this morning.

Kentville Police responded to a call just after midnight Aug. 27 about a disturbance in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim with a head injury. He was taken to Valley Regional Hospital and then transported to the QE II in Halifax for treatment.

The street was closed until approximately 7 a.m. and 13 Chester Ave. was still taped off with a police presence at 8:30 a.m.
