The ‘AAA’ Hockey Series will feature eight divisions – super 8 (players born in 2008), novice minor (2007), novice major (2006), atom minor (2005), atom major (2004), peewee minor (2003), peewee major (2002) and bantam minor (2001).

The series will include seven teams representing all regions of Nova Scotia. A team called the Junior Axemen will represent the area from Windsor to Digby.

The novice minor to atom major teams will feature identification camps, while the super 8, peewee and bantam teams will be selected by scouting and invitation only.

The ‘AAA’ series consists of a minimum of 15 hours practice time and 16 games, beginning at the end of the minor hockey season and running through the months of April and May. The objective is to provide an opportunity for advanced level players of both genders to progress to the next level of play.

Through programs like the Charlie Bourgeois Hockey School, the spring elite hockey AAA series and the Atlantic Selects, the AHG works with over 4,500 players a year.

Identification camps for the Nova Scotia ‘AAA’ Series teams will take place in each of the regions on Nov. 11, and again during the Christmas holidays.
